Product Description —

VBB 911 features four square openings arranged in a grid configuration. The modular pattern provides balanced ventilation and daylight distribution while forming a consistent architectural screen texture.

Its symmetrical layout allows flexible installation orientation and works well in large façade compositions.

Technical Notes —

Important information on finish, tolerances, and natural concrete characteristics.

VBB blocks are manufactured using cement, sand and natural aggregates. As with all cement-based materials, minor colour variations may occur between batches due to natural raw materials and curing conditions.

The block features a smooth architectural finish on the front face, designed for exposed installations. The rear face is a functional concrete surface.

Slight texture variation and tonal differences are normal and contribute to the natural character of concrete products.

For best visual consistency, it is recommended to blend blocks from multiple pallets during installation.

Efflorescence is a natural phenomenon that may occur in cement-based products. It appears as a temporary white powdery deposit caused by soluble salts migrating through moisture.

This condition does not affect the structural performance of the block and will typically diminish over time with natural weathering.

Deposits can be removed by dry brushing or mild cleaning methods once the surface is dry.

VBB blocks may be used in both interior and exterior applications. Where long-term appearance is important, a breathable clear sealer may be applied to reduce staining and moisture absorption.

Sealing may be beneficial for:

  • Exterior façade applications

  • Areas exposed to heavy rain

  • Locations subject to pollution or dust

Only vapour-permeable sealers suitable for cement-based materials should be used. Always test on a sample area before full application.

VBB blocks are produced under controlled manufacturing conditions. As with all precast concrete units, minor dimensional variations may occur.

Installation should allow for normal mortar joint adjustment to achieve alignment and level surfaces.

Blocks should be handled carefully to avoid edge chipping or damage to the exposed architectural face.

During installation:

  • Ensure the finished face is oriented correctly

  • Maintain consistent joint spacing

  • Protect installed surfaces from staining or impact during construction

Good workmanship is essential where blocks are installed as exposed architectural features.

VBB breeze blocks are non-load-bearing architectural units intended for screen walls, partitions and façade elements.

They should not be used as structural load-bearing components unless incorporated within a structural system designed by a qualified engineer.
