An office complex woven from Malaysian climate and craft.
PJ Trade Centre is one of PBM’s first and most iconic architectural collaborations, located in the vibrant commercial hub of Damansara Perdana. The development features a series of high-rise office towers designed with environmental sensitivity and long-term sustainability in mind. As one of our earliest milestone projects, it reflects PBM’s philosophy of harmonizing function, design, and climate responsiveness through innovative precast solutions.
PJ Trade Centre is a commercial complex of four 20-21 storey office towers (around 1 million sq ft GFA on a 5.4-acre site) in Damansara Perdana, completed December 2009. Designed by Kevin Mark Low / Small Projects with SD2 Landscape Architecture for Tujuan Gemilang Sdn Bhd, the project translates Malaysian textile-craft motifs – songket, batik, tenun – into a climate-responsive façade combining overburnt brick, fair-faced concrete and five different PBM VentBlock profiles. It remains one of Malaysia’s most awarded commercial buildings – winner of the FIABCI World Prix d’Excellence 2013 (Gold, Office) and the PAM Awards 2011 (Gold, Commercial Design), plus three further recognitions.
