At Premier Building Material Sdn Bhd, we take pride in supporting initiatives that promote sustainability, community engagement, and the betterment of society. Recently, our company had the privilege of sponsoring hardscape materials to a dedicated group of students from the University Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) Faculty of Engineering & Science and the Department of Architecture and Sustainable Design (DASD). Their collaborative effort, in partnership with SMJK Yu Hua in Kajang, has resulted in the creation of two remarkable 5mx5m landscapes named “The C-Swirls” and “Healing.”
The goal of this project was to establish two serene and functional gardens within the school premises, with the intention of providing a peaceful and welcoming environment for the staff and students of SMJK Yu Hua. These green spaces have been designed to serve as places of solace, relaxation, study, and group discussions.
“The C-Swirls” and “Healing” are more than just gardens; they are spaces that embody the spirit of community and sustainability. By providing grass pavers, ventilation blocks, planter blocks, architectural blocks, drain covers, and other essential hardscape materials, we aimed to contribute to a project that aligns with our commitment to environmental responsibility and community development.
The landscapes serve multiple purposes, including:
A Place of Peace and Solace: The serene ambiance of these gardens provides a tranquil space where students and staff can take a break from their daily routines, find a moment of solace, and rejuvenate their spirits.
Relaxation: With comfortable seating, greenery, and thoughtful landscaping, “The C-Swirls” and “Healing” offer a perfect setting for relaxation. The calming design elements, including lush plantings, create an oasis of calm.
Study and Group Discussions: For the students of SMJK Yu Hua, these gardens provide a conducive environment for studying and group discussions. Surrounded by nature, they can engage in productive learning and collaboration.
Our partnership with UTAR and SMJK Yu Hua demonstrates our dedication to supporting educational institutions and fostering a sense of community. We believe that by investing in projects like this, we not only contribute to the physical beauty of the surroundings but also enhance the well-being and educational experiences of the individuals who benefit from them.
We are excited to share that the University Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) has documented this remarkable event on their university website. You can read their article [here]. We encourage you to explore their coverage to gain a deeper insight into the collaborative effort that made “The C-Swirls” and “Healing” landscapes a reality.
