PJ Trade Centre is one of PBM’s first and most iconic architectural collaborations, located in the vibrant commercial hub of Damansara Perdana. The development features a series of high-rise office towers designed with environmental sensitivity and long-term sustainability in mind. As one of our earliest milestone projects, it reflects PBM’s philosophy of harmonizing function, design, and climate responsiveness through innovative precast solutions.
Use of Ventilation Blocks
A key architectural feature of the development is the extensive use of PBM VentBlocks, which were specified in various block sizes and patterns to serve multiple design intents. The ventilation blocks were strategically integrated into stairwells, service cores, mechanical shafts, and façade elements to enable:
• Natural airflow and passive ventilation
• Reduced dependency on mechanical cooling
• Improved air quality in transitional spaces
• Enhanced visual texture and rhythmic shadow casting
This project set a precedent for the architectural use of concrete ventilation blocks in large-scale commercial developments, and continues to be referenced as a benchmark in sustainable façade design.
